Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are combined.
  3. Add the tablespoon of water to the mixture and stir until a dough forms. The dough should be pliable but not sticky.
  4. Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Place another piece of parchment paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into a thin rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Remove the top parchment paper and cut the rolled dough into squares or desired shapes using a knife or a pizza cutter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Storage & Reheating:
Store any leftover crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for longer storage. To reheat, simply pop them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes until crisp.
Variations:
- Add herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
- Incorporate spices like paprika or cayenne pepper for a kick.
- Experiment with different cheese varieties such as pepper jack or gouda.
- Top the crackers with seeds like sesame or chia before baking.
