Equipment
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are combined.
- Add the tablespoon of water to the mixture and stir until a dough forms. The dough should be pliable but not sticky.
- Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Place another piece of parchment paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough into a thin rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Remove the top parchment paper and cut the rolled dough into squares or desired shapes using a knife or a pizza cutter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Storage & Reheating:
Store any leftover crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for longer storage. To reheat, simply pop them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes until crisp. Variations:
- Add herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
- Incorporate spices like paprika or cayenne pepper for a kick.
- Experiment with different cheese varieties such as pepper jack or gouda.
- Top the crackers with seeds like sesame or chia before baking.
