Method
 

  1. Begin by placing the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker or instant pot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chicken broth, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. If using a slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. For the instant pot, seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes, then allow for natural release.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked through and tender, shred it using two forks directly in the slow cooker or instant pot.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well incorporated into the chicken mixture.
  7. Serve the Crack Chicken hot, garnished with sliced green onions and chopped parsley.
