  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Rice paper sheets as needed, from one package

Method
 

  1. Apple Filling
Step 1:
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 2:
  1. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Step 3:
  1. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring often, until the apples soften and the mixture becomes syrupy.

  3. Remove from heat and allow the filling to cool slightly.
  4. Assemble the Rolls
Step 5:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 6:
  1. Fill a shallow bowl with warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet into the water for 5–8 seconds until just pliable.
Step 7:
  1. Lay the softened rice paper flat on a clean surface.
Step 8:
  1. Spoon a small amount of apple filling near the bottom center.
Step 9:
  1. Fold in the sides, then roll tightly like a spring roll.
Step 10:
  1. Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 11:
  1. Repeat with remaining rice paper and filling.
Step 12:
  1. Lightly brush or spray the rolls with the remaining cooking oil.
  2. Bake

  1. Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crisp.
Step 14:
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
